Xarxa Valem: Valencian Network of Entities Providing Vocational Training for Employment

The Valencian Network of Entities Providing Vocational Training for Employment, known as Xarxa Valem, is a union of 14 entities committed to vocational training and employment in the Valencian Community. Among the participants are the Servei Valencià de Formació i Ocupació, LABORA, 2 provincial councils, 10 town councils and 1 mancomunidad.

At a meeting held in Alzira on 16 January 2020, the statutes of Xarxa Valem were signed, thus establishing the basis of our collaboration. The main objective of this network is to strengthen cooperation between providers of vocational training for employment (VET) and to improve the quality and attractiveness of the offer of vocational training for employments

Aims of the Network

  • To articulate the technical and administrative cooperation between the entities, as well as with other networks and public administrations.
  • To strengthen cooperation between VET providers for employment through mutual learning, peer counselling and capacity building.
  • Promote and encourage the effective use of EU funding instruments in the field of vocational training for employment.
  • Support the implementation and dissemination of relevant EU tools and initiatives in the field of vocational training for employment.
  • To involve providers of vocational training for employment and to reach out to those who do not contribute to or benefit from European cooperation.

Activities of the Network

  • To strengthen cooperation between providers of vocational training for employment.
  • To promote the effective use of European Union funding instruments.
  • Contribute to the European Vocational Training Week.
  • To support the development of an internationalisation strategy.
  • Improve the quality of vocational training for employment.
  • Develop graduate follow-up systems.
  • Support micro-enterprises and SMEs in the development of human capital.
  • Encourage innovative learning of key competences.
  • Promote tools and opportunities for professional development.
  • Collaborate in the dissemination of the results and activities of the network.
